Secondary Institute in Haria

In 2009 CPPA team submitted a proposal for the writing contest draft Secondary School in Haria, municipio de la isla de Lanzarote.

The proposal, despite not being finally chosen, was assessed very positively. A continuación se adjunta una breve descripción de la misma.

La propuesta que se avanzó para el proyecto del nuevo Instituto de Enseñanza Secundaria de Haría se organizaba localizando el nuevo edificio escolar en la nueva parcela reservada al Oeste para la ampliación de los equipamientos escolares mientras que el edificio deportivo y las aulas de Formación Profesional requeridas se situarían en el espacio donde actualmente está el edificio actual.

The whole, incluyendo al Grupo Escolar de Primaria existente se articularía mediante una gran plaza que establecería el acceso a los espacios exteriores del nuevo centro.

The biggest challenge of the project was produced in the resulting narrowing at the junction of the two plots available. There has been predicted functional articulation of all outdoor spaces on the same level, main access, sports fields and playground, constituyéndose en el espacio de interrelación de todos los edificios que compondrían el conjunto.

INTERNAL ORGANIZATION OF BUILDINGS

The building dedicated to educational spaces required by the program, is organized into a series of parallel two-story pavilions, distributed along a central spine which establishes the main communications. North of that space connecting Secondary Classrooms located in the first three pavilions, reservándose el último volumen hacia el Oeste para las Aulas de Bachillerato.

South of the main hall are arranged communications and service auxiliary spaces in as many small pavilions, Laboratory, Library, 4 Seminarios y la Administración junto a la entrada.

The indoor sports building is placed in the southeast end of the two plots available, parallel to the path. It provided a space to host handball courts, basketball and tennis with their changing rooms and support spaces, and a grandstand with capacity for 200 personas.

SCHOOL BUILDING

Este edificio se ha dividió en tres ámbitos espaciales claramente diferenciados y en los que los recorridos se organizaron mediante un gran pasillo central que engloba tramos en rampa de pendiente muy ligera.

To the north is located three two-story pavilions perpendicular to the corridor. BUILDING SPORTS

The sports building stood at the east end by providing the necessary space for a multipurpose court dedicated to handball, Basketball and volleyball along with support spaces for teams changing rooms and toilets, almacén y despacho.

Reform Avenida del Generalissimo

Competition for the drafting of the Development of the Avenida del Generalissimo in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, convocado por GESTUR.Issues affecting the Avenida del Generalissimo
The Avenida del Generalissimo is located in the tourism sector in the municipality Martíanez Puerto de la Cruz. Atendiendo a las reflexiones señaladas en el apartado anterior se ha avanzado una propuesta preliminar de tratamiento de la avenida que sirva de base para explicar cuales pueden ser las estrategias conducentes a una remodelación efectiva de este espacio urbano.

A. Actuaciones sobre el espacio públicoLa sección de calle propuesta se ha establecido definiendo un doble carril excéntrico continuo a lo largo de todo el trazado longitudinal junto con una ampliación generalizada de las superficies peatonales a costa de los espacios ocupados por las plazas de aparcamiento que existen en la actualidad.

Un problema similar es el que plantea la publicidad descontrolada que supone una agresión estética incidente sobre la calida visual del espacio urbano en su conjunto.

Concurso de reforma de espacios turísticos convocado por el Cabildo de Tenerife.

This is a public space (located in the town of Adeje) heavily punished by the various interventions that have been happening over the years, gradually losing the character of public open space, siendo ocupado for a indiscriminate aparcamiento of coches a dos filas, construcciones y concesiones en el propio espacio público y en el frente marítimo que poco a poco han ido tapando las vista al mar.

Como strategy of transformation if ha optado for los siguientes criterios:

Recuperación del espacio público para peatones, residentes y turistas, limitando el tránsito rodado.
Redefinición de los espacios of disfrute y carefully, such como Gardens, plazas, zonas de juegos infantiles y mayores.

Mejora cualitativa del mobiliario urbano y de la iluminación.

Sections proposals

Concurso de reforma de espacios turísticos convocado por el Cabildo de Tenerife y recientemente adjudicado a CPPA.

Current State Street UK (Adeje)

The sector consists of three different areas in the municipality of Adeje, Britain Street and two walks, one perpendicular and the other parallel, exclusivamente peatonales.

Como strategy of transformation if ha optado for los siguientes criterios:Britain Street:
Increased pedestrian area to the detriment of road traffic and parking, que ocupan una franja considerable para muy pocas plazas.
Solution of continuity in the pedestrian, avoiding the steps, y limitando el paso de vehículos a una franja diferenciada.
Status of high bearing new vegetation to ensure the creation of shadows along the walk, y una mejora ambiental a nivel urbano.
