Photographer Bujedo Iñigo Aguirre ha realizado un magnífico trabajo fotográfico sobre la obra de la arquitecta italiano brasileña Lina Bo Bardi.

As part of the exhibition "The last humanist", recoge una serie de impresionantes ilustraciones de la obra de la arquitecta en la ciudad de Sao Paulo.

Lina Bo Bardi work in that city for more than 40 years and leave a number of buildings of a large category. La mayoría de ellos se dedicarían a la provisión de equipamientos y servicios públicos colectivos en un esfuerzo por mejorar las condiciones de vida de los habitantes de una de las ciudades más densamente pobladas del mundo.

To end the week I'd recommend the film 80 which is often linked to cycles of Cinema and Architecture. “The Wings of Desire” Wim Wenders is an interesting feature showing fantastic scenes of the city of Berlin through the vision of two angels (Bruno Ganz y Otto Sander) observan que el mundo. Pero sin duda es un película mítica para la arquitectura gracias a la magnífica escena desarrollada en la Biblioteca Nacional de Berlín diseñada por el arquitecto alemán Hans Scharoun.

Later the American film industry realizo, de manera desafortunada, el remake de esta película de cult con el título “City of Angels”.

La costa del sur de Tenerife en las próximidades del Médano en los años 70

“Almuerzo en un rascacielos” es una de las fotografías más famosas de Charles C. Ebbets, todo un clásico de los pósters que te encuentras habitualmente en tiendas de decoración, librerías etc. La imagen fue tomada en el año 1932 durante la construcción del complejo de edificios comerciales Rockefeller Center, en la planta 69 del Edificio de General Electric y la publicó el New York Herald Tribune en el suplemento dominical .

En ella se ven cómo 11 obreros (al parecer, indios Mohawk e Irlandeses) están descansando sentados sobre una viga de acero a una altura de 244 mts, con la ciudad y el vacío bajo sus pies.
