<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;">El problema del envejecimiento en las sociedades avanzadas, tanto en Europa como en el resto del mundo, se está convirtiendo en un asunto prioritario al que convendría prestarle una mayor atención colectiva. En España, dentro de treinta años el 37% de la población tendrá más de 65 años según estimaciones demográficas realizadas. Esto supone un reto colosal para dotar de servicios adecuados a todo este volumen de personas que van a requerir un cuidado creciente en su desenvolvimiento cotidiano.</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">En los últimos tiempos surgen por doquier ofertas de espacios especializados para los colectivos de personas ya retiradas. Son urbanizaciones y edificios destinados a la llamada Tercera Edad. Es decir orientados a aquellos que afrontan ese momento de la retirada del trabajo que habitualmente se había desempeñado a lo largo de su vida laboral habitual.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Hasta ahora la respuesta convencional a las necesidades específicas de este colectivo ha sido su ingreso en centros residenciales en los que se oferta una atención especializada que pretende ser de tipo asistencial. Es una solución que no suele tener en cuenta la voluntad y los deseos de las propias personas afectadas que, generalmente, prefieren permanecer en sus entornos familiares el mayor tiempo posible.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: small;"><span style="color: #000000;">Solares abandonados. <p style="text-align: justify;">Thus, hay que considerar la producción masiva de un nuevo tipo de vivienda adaptada específicamente a las necesidades de ese colectivo que superará pronto a un tercio de la población en los distintos países.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Uno de las principales características del envejecimiento es la creciente dificultad para el desplazamiento y el manejo de aparatos y elementos sencillos como interruptores, cocinas, baños etc. Relacionado con lo anterior, una de las amenazas recurrentes para los mayores es el tropiezo y la caída. Un riesgo que primero es una preocupación y que acaba convirtiéndose en una obsesión constante para los usuarios de las viviendas convencionales. Tanto en su acceso hacia y desde el exterior como, también en el interior de los edificios y las propias viviendas. En la percepción de los ancianos, las escaleras pasan a ser obstáculos insalvables y los baños se transforman en ratoneras en las que puede producirse un accidente en cualquier momento. So, el miedo acaba convirtiéndose en una constante para un grupo humano que tiende a desarrollar esa etapa de la vida en soledad, debido a la desaparición natural de parejas y del alejamiento de aquellas otras personas próximas. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">En una etapa más avanzada de ese proceso de envejecimiento, va apareciendo la necesidad de contar con apoyos de todo tipo para mejorar las condiciones de la propia vida. <p style="text-align: justify;">La asistencia médica domiciliaria, que era habitual hasta hace pocos años, ha ido siendo sustituida progresivamente por los consultorios alejados de los lugares de residencia. <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Finally, la fácil y adecuada accesibilidad al transporte público es una condición muy importante para un colectivo que ha abandonado sus vehículos privados por razones obvias. Hoy por hoy, los vehículos destinados al transporte, las paradas para el intercambio y los recorridos de acceso suelen carecer, por lo general, de condiciones lo suficientemente adecuada para dar un buen servicio al colectivo de personas mayores.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000; font-family: Arial; font-size: small;">Todo lo expuesto, nos debería hacer reflexionar con el objetivo de destinar mayores esfuerzos y recursos para mejorar las condiciones de vida de un colectivo que va a convertirse en el más numeroso en los próximos años.</span></p>

<div style="text-align: justify;">The <em><a href="http://www.911memorial.org/">September 11th Memorial</a></em> is the result of a design competition that won the team headed by American landscape<a href="http://www.pwpla.com/national-911-memorial/landscape-design"> Peter Walter</a>, collaboration with Michael Arad. Ranked vacuum created by the disappearance of those unique towers that projected Minoru Yamasaki, they were a symbol representing the city of New York and, by extension, U.S.. A monumental architectures with formal nods neogothic that were almost an evocation of a particular way of understanding the culture and civilization itself. The two identical skyscrapers that formed the <em>World Trade Center</em>ter of New York were never a sample of architecture aesthetically relevant, but, however, tanto su tamaño monumental como su posición paisajística les dieron una relevancia icónica sin parangón.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">The landscape and sculptural intervention designed by Peter Walker consists of two gigantic homers ponds occupying the empty space on which were placed the foundations of the towers. This raises maintaining the vacuum generated and accentuating that feeling of loss that induces hinting at the missing volumes. There, at the bottom of these sunken spaces, two separate ponds interspersed large scale on which large volumes of water falling in the manner of cataracts. At its center, a second hollow squares act as water drains leading to unknown caverns inside the earth.
